Holy heavy metal Batman.

Coffin Case is known for their wild cases for guitars, basses, pedals, and accessories.  They are now releasing their second venture into the pedal market with the Batfuzz.  This wild looking fuzz box is really different.  From it’s batwinged shape to the glowing LED eyes you can bet this will scare your Tubescreamer right of the board.

Coffin Case isn’t the only strange looking pedal out there.  The world of stompboxes has a rich history of odd shaped pedals which took the world by storm.

The Fuzz Face

The Dallas Arbiter company first issued the Fuzz Face in 1966.  This pedal was made famous by Jimi Hendrix although countless others have reveled in the thick ,fuzzy ,raunchy distortion emitted from this seemingly happy pedal.

The Roger Mayer Fuzz

image

Roger Mayer was the man behind the modifications to Jimi’s effects.  His Fuzz pedal resembled a space ship. Not unlike the Fuzz Face, this pedal created a wall of distortion which seemed to come from outer space.

The Coffin Blood Drive

Coffin Case’s first foray into the pedal world, the Blood Drive.  With controls named “inject”,”bleed”,  and “filth” you may need to up your life insurance before you play this pedal.

Colorsound Pedals

Colorsounds pedals lived up to their name.  Not only were the pedals capable of adding many shades of color to your sound but the boxes themselves were colorful and eye catching.

Moolon Pedals

Moolon pedals look as good as they sound.  These will ad some class to your pedal board as well as your tone.

Remember that some of these pedals were invented before the concept of a pedal board.  The challenge to us now is to fit these pedals in with our plain boxed every day pedals while still maintaining our sanity.

Cheers.

Scott
